Teaching positions are available from 1 day/week to almost full time basis. Weekend programs run six (6) weeks starting January 7-8, 2023.  Candidates must be able to make a seven (7) week commitment to allow for possible rescheduled days. (For example, if you are hired in our Saturday program, you must be available for seven consecutive Saturdays)  Staff training will occur in early December 2022. Candidates must attend all December staff training days for their category (2 or 3 days, depending on teaching experience).  All Rod Roy instructors must wear the approved school jacket and pants.

Successful candidates will receive a staff pass.  This pass allows you complimentary or discounted lift ticket rates at some of our affiliated centres including:  les Sommets, Mont Tremblant, Mont Orford, Mont Blanc and Mont Sutton.  The pass will also get you equipment deals at local sport stores and distributors.

Joining the Rod Roy team is an opportunity to learn and improve your own skiing or boarding, gain valuable teaching/communication experience while at the same time socializing with other instructors.

Clinic Costs

Costs include lift tickets for clinic days, sessions & manuals

Total cost for the Basic Program is $65.

A refund of $30 will be made after the November 30 clinic should either party feel that the candidate’s chances of being hired are minimal.

Instructors who are currently certified with the CSIA or CASI can deduct $15 from their course fees.  CSIA/CASI license number and expiry date must be indicated on the registration form for the deduction to apply.

Instructor Uniform

All instructors must wear our jackets and provide their own black pants and helmet.  Jackets can be rented or purchased;

Pay $70 on delivery (requires a credit card as a security deposit).  The jacket must be returned within 10 days of the last ski school outing in March.

Recruiting members: RRSS will pay you for each member that you recruit for the school as follows: 1 member gives you $15, 2 members gives you $30 & 3 members gives you $45.  All you have to do is call the office (514)626-6240 with the name of the potential member and you will be reimbursed for those members that join.
